Lession - Don't give out or use the email address assigned to you by your ISP. There will come a time when you need to drop your ISP but keep your email persona.
I have spent the last two evenings tracking down all my subscribed mailing lists, and moving these to a generic google mail account. Since gmail added pop access it makes them a viable mail service. I have never been happy authoring email in a web browser but gmail allows you to when I need to and provides a smtp server for me while I am roaming.
No more ssh tunnels into the office to access pop and smtp servers.
Lets hope this works out.
